Some Locksmith Stories

“I am just a simple locksmith in Greensboro NC. Generally, the calls I get are lockout calls. Somebody wants us to help them into their car or house. Those kind of projects are small and don’t usually require too much many power. Sometimes you get these really special projects that are huge. For whatever reason you have to change out all the locks in the house. Stuff like that is usually from a pretty messy break up. A few of those customers stood out.

I got a call in the middle of the night for new locks for a house. It was a lot of locks so I needed help with this one. I bought along my son. My company is called King Locksmith. We get there and we noticed that the lock on the front door was completely busted. After going around to check the locks on the backdoor. It was also busted. There was a home invasions. We were called right after the cops had left. We brought new stronger locks for all the doors and windows. It was rewarding to know we are protecting a home.

This other time my son and I got a call for a big home lock installation. Apparently these parents wanted to send a message to their slacker child that it is time to move out. We did our job and we were able to get new locks on all the doors as fast as possible. I wanted to get out of there fast because things were about to get sad. On the ride home I looked at my son and he looked back at me. “It was a good thing I didn’t have to do the same thing to you.” He responds with, “Are you kidding me? I couldn’t wait to get out. I don’t think you realize how bad you smell.”

Some people go through easy breakups and other people need all the locks changed on their home to get the message across. My company was called one time from this guy that has been trying to get the message across that he didn’t want to date this girl anymore. I didn’t understand the details of what was going on but he couldn’t ask for his spare key back from her. We can help with locks but you are usually up to you.”
